Supporting Permanent Musket Ball Display at Minuteman NHP

Utilizing funds from America’s National Parks™ America’s 250th, History Happens Here Grant, Minuteman NHP developed a permanent display of musket balls found from the Battle of Lexington and Concord. Minute Man NHP announced the discovery of the “shot heard round the world” through an archeological investigation near the North Bridge in Concord, MA in July 2026.  The grant funds were used to create an exhibit space in our current exhibit room, adjacent to the America’s National Parks™ Store, at the North Bridge Visitor Center, including an exhibit case for the musket balls, new exhibit panels, and reconfiguring the exhibit room to include an original piece from the North Bridge for display.
