Acadia National Park utilized $81,734 in funds from Eastern National, the parent organization of America’s National Parks™, to support internships, educational initiatives, seasonal staff, and visitor programs. Known as the “Crown Jewel of the North Atlantic Coast,” Acadia National Park welcomes more than 4 million visitors annually, and these funds helped provide guided historic landmark walks, nature presentations, fishing demonstrations, and birdwatching tours across the park’s 27 miles of historic motor roads, 158 miles of hiking trails, and 45 miles of carriage roads.

Educational staff also engaged K–8 students through classroom lessons, wildlife observation activities, and ecology workshops, while giving students the opportunity to stay overnight in the park to hike, stargaze, and participate in hands-on conservation projects.
