Here, too, are some of the continent’s most important waterways, with their history of commerce and industrialization, their carefully preserved beauty, and many recreational offerings.

Apostle Islands National Lakeshore

Promises made and broken! Who deserves to be free? The fight for freedom! Soldiers fighting settlers! Each of these stories is a link in the chain of events that encircled Fort Scott from 1842-1873. You’re invited to virtually tour Fort Scott through a series of 360-degree panoramic views of the park’s buildings, furnished rooms, and exhibit areas.
Harry S Truman National Historical Site
Harry S Truman’s legacy as president is partially attributed to his positive and optimistic character traits and leadership skills that were grounded in his Missouri upbringing. Eventually President Harry S Truman and his wife, Bess, returned in retirement to the family home in Independence, Missouri, and sought to assume a lifestyle that was relatively unchanged by the power and fame of the White House. Indiana Dunes National Park
